Question:
Thanks for the advice. I ended up going with a deluxe kit from Northern Brewers. One thing it includes but I wasn’t sure if it was necessary was a floor corker. Also, I’m starting out with a Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay. Thanks again. Pete. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I’ve finally prepared my wine making room in my basement and am ready to get started for the first time making homemade wine. Are all the equipment packages relatively the same? I’m considering ordering from Homebrew Heaven but I don’t really know what to look for. I’m also considering a chardonnay for my first attempt from Ancient Vines varietal kits. Any advice, encouragement, crticism would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Peter.

As far as equipment goes the kits vary greatly. Some include bottles and some do not. Look very carefully at the items included in your selection and make sure that you are getting what you think you are. If it is not listed as an item in the kit it probably will not come in the kit. I got mine at www.floridahomebrewers.com and it even came with a starter wine kit included. Hope this helps Ron
