How Does Grapeseed Work?

Question:

Grapeseed works on my  ADD.   If you know a book, website or e-mail that has information give me a buzz.

Response:

How does grapeseed work? 1. Put in in the ground. 2. Wait for it to grow into a vine and bear fruit. 3. Harvest the fruit. 4. Make wine. 5. Drink a toast to those among us who are open-minded enough to accept that there are many ways to arrive at a goal and that just because one way works under some circumstances does not invalidate the others or worse yet, make them wrong. Cheers !!! – Skip

Re: the subject.  It’s simple, really.  You plant it, and soon you have grapes.  You have to plant it at the right time, and near a trellis, and all that. . .  oh, and this advice doesn’t work on bird seed; that’s stuff’s a ripoff!

Whoa!  I checked out the "Grapeseed" website!  It’s legit, folks.  And I must remember:  One man’s meat is another’s poison.     http://www.fcs.net/seedoil/default.htm Whatcha’ got to lose by reading this? Gentle as you go, Marny

Is it just me or are these people crabby<

Most of us have to live with ADHD. Heh. But you knew that. …some of you answers were cute.

It is not the only thing I take but I know how they work. Grapseed was the first thing that worked. perhaps if I took a little meth this morning , I’d be able to come up with witty responses like this.< Well, talk about a cute response! Thing is, most of "us" tend to get a bit weary of people waltzing in, thinking they’re "better" because they take natural products over DRUGS! <gasp! Heaven forbid! A bunch of junkies, here! Yack! Take me away! Shimatta! Wendy, who’s hopped up on Siberian Ginseng… snicker!

Response:

My, My arent we tense today, maybe

you should switch to decaff or perhaps you were coming down off ritilan< Oh, whee! Go take a couple of valerian capsules, and chill out, ma-an! HAHAH! Oh, yeah, I also took a good shot of Gotu Kola along with that ginseng. Can you tell? Wendy

Response:

I leave those who choose to alter their natural perceptual gifts with drugs alone yet they scoff at my struggle to find a and explain soulution that works for me. so they deserve my snips. Where is the support in this support group…is it only a drug support group? The changes I experince with natural substances is less dramatic than nicotine or ritilan, but it works for me… it gets me through the day and lets me sleep at night. My original post was quite simple…how does this stuff do what stimulants and antidepressants can’t or didn’t do for me. I am not spamming, and I gave up the whatever works attitude when I decided to keep my original personality intact. Some of you can do amazing things for a few hours a day, but havw you lost anything.  This group is just like all the mainstream ADD books…story after story of medicated perfection, no runs no drips no errors (no tics). If our society and lifstyles weren’t so backward we wouldn’t need so many drugs or in my case herbs. If the school system and job market (perhaps your parrents) rewarded your talents you wouldn’t even think of drugs as a must. My case is serious no doubt about it So is my resolve to stay natural I’ll take what that decision cost…Wendy et al.

No, But I think most of us would do without the medication ritalin in a second if we found a viable more "inert" alternative.  Yes ritalin is a drug similar to speed, but no it is not dangerous and it seems to be the most efective medication on the market.  I think that is why most of us are not very positive/excited about the alternatives or new "breakthroughs"  ’cause we’ve tried them and they have proven to be ALLOT more bark then bite.   The changes I experince with natural substances is less dramatic than nicotine or ritilan, but it works for me… it gets me through the day and lets me sleep at night.

That’s Great!  Your a lucky one.  As for me, I tried pycnoginal(sp?) and Grapeseed extract and they didn’t work. I took them religously for 3 months 1 mg for all of my 170 lbs.   My original post was quite simple…how does this stuff do what stimulants  and antidepressants can’t or didn’t do for me. I don’t think so.  Its posible that if our world were not as it is today there would be less chemicals and polutants floating around to cause birth defects and such, but the main cause of add are bad genes.  I don’t know?  Is it posible for add to be induced by drugs/exposure to chemicals during pregnancy?  But add is NOT caused by social situation or expectations…etc , but is caused by being delt a bad deck of cards at birth. If the school system and job market (perhaps your parrents) rewarded your talents you wouldn’t even think of drugs as a must. Good job wendy.  good job for going out there and trying different things to try to get away from drugs to something less harmfull and more natural.  The more you know about your particular condition the better you are off personaly. Reed
