Buy a book e.g. From vines to wine bt Jeff Cox, read it and buy necessary bits and pieces from a home brew store assuming such things exist in Marseille. They do in UK USA and Australia

<As a new intenet (sic) user and amateur wine maker I was disappointed <to see such little interest in this newsgroup. Anyone out there interested <in sharing information and problems/solutions for making quality wine? I am rather bemused -even more than usual – by this posting. What on Earth solutions without knowing them? What information is he providing? I think this is an excellent newsgroup, and as in most things you get out of it what you put in.                  - John Button "In vino veritas"

making quality wine Maybe I don’t understand your comment.  I find there’s a great deal of information exchange in this news group.  I have received more information on making quality wine in this newsgroup than any other wine newsgroup on the net.  I don’t know how many people participate in this newsgroup, but I’ve found it’s more than enough to get me all the info I’ve ever needed. That asid, I am always interested in sharing information about making quality wine.

Response:

billb, Maybe your site does not get all (any of) the postings.  I know that mine does not (but the price is right.) Mike D.
