muscadine wine.

Question:

I recently discovered a muscadine vine growing behind my house.  The Muscadines  are very tasty and plentiful.  Anyway, I got to thinking it would be nice to make a batch of muscadine wine.  I am familiar with the procedures of making wine at home although I have never tried making any.  I was wondering if any of you could provide me with a simple, good tasting recipe that would yield me a fruity, sweet tasting muscadine wine that I could attempt for my first try? Im not looking for anything fancy, just something I can add some yeast to and make a gallon or so of wine.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Robert

Response:

Robert, you will find muscadine wine recipes in my section on "Native North American Grapes and their Wines".  I am making 5 gallons of it myself.  If you have any questions, please email me…. (Jack Keller, The Winemaking Home Page, http://www.geocities.com/NapaValley/1172/) Before you buy.
