Question:
I have just started to make my own wine from grape concentrates which has gone ok so far but I have run into a little difficulty in that the only supplier of wine making equipment is Boots in our locality and they have not been very helpful or stock a vast ammount of stock. Does anyone know of a good store that
Try your local branch of WH Smith for one of the (few) magazines which deal with homebrewing and winemaking, or try a decent bookstore (Cambridge has one of those?
) for a copy of an up to date book which might list some stores. Alternatively, try the yellow pages – I did that and found my nearest store was Swindon (30 miles away). Once you’ve made a visit to a store once and seen what the stock is like it is then much easier to deal by mail orde, unless you have a liking for 5 gallon glass carbuoys… good luck Ken http://www.cis.yale.edu/~zetie/zetie.html = living, dead, undead or the subject (everywhere) = of a Schrodinger’s cat experiment. Does anyone know of a good store that has a larger selection near by or a mail order place?? It would be helpful if there was but I guess I might be rather unfortunate on this one?
The Homebrew Shop in Farnborough, Hants. does mail order throughout the UK and they’re very good. I don’t have the address to hand but you can find it on the UK-homebrew web page, look for the UK suppliers list in the contents page: http://sun1.bham.ac.uk/GraftonG/homebrew.htm If you don’t have web access send me an email and I will get the text file to you.
