Ed, I would assume that it’s ok, as would be commercial advertisements of interest to winemakers. Others may not agree. The newsgroup charter (reproduced below) doesn’t seem to cover the subject. At an rate, the worse thing that might happen is the advertisement might draw an irate response from another newsgroup member, just like a controversial post. 
If you decide against posting the advertisement here, would you at least e-mail a copy to me. I may be in the market for some equipment. Thank you, G01. I think we’re all interested in equipment, prices, and the like, so I think it would be appropriate to post here. I think it would only be a problem if you were a retailer wishing to use this forum as regular advertising.
