Brewshops in FL?

Question:

"I am travelling soon to Bradenton, FL. I live in DK, and it is almost impossible to get good brewing materials. If anyone knows of any home- brewing shops where I can stock up that are in the area I would greatly appreciate it (that is St.Petersburg, Orlanda…). I am especially interested in getting some good malt. "      Well… I’ve read the other replies and everyone is close – now for the LOCAL ones: A Home Brew 1236 Whitfield Ave. Sarasota, Fl. 34243 813-758-5022 This one is practically IN Bradenton. It’s small, and a little cluttered, but has good, fresh supples. Tell them Robert the keg supplier sent you… Brewcrafters 6621 Gateway Ave. Sarasota, Fl. 34231 813-925-9499 A nice, clean shop. Well run and well stocked. Can be reached via. Email you… Happy hunting! Shadowfax

I replied to this by e-mail, but I have dealt with Heart’s several times, and I can vouch for them.  They are excellent. — Nathaniel Scott "Teddy" Winstead      | http://www.cs.tulane.edu/www/Winstead Fanatical Homebrewer & CS Student     | necessarily my own.

In St. Petersburg, there is "The Pantry", which has the M&F malt (do you mean grain malt or extract?) They also have a number of different extracts. In Tampa are at least three shops: "The Home Brewery" in the Ybor City area of Tampa (an interesting area to visit, as well); "The Brew Shack" on West Waters Avenue, and another on S. Dale Mabry Ave. (I forget the name). If you’re interested in getting together with some other homebrewers, I’m the president of a (the?) brewclub in St. Petersburg. We have our meetings on the third Wednesday of each month. Email me for more information.
